Newsletter Signup

It has been quite some time since I blogged last. I have been laying low in search of my permanent digi-home and I am currently participating in ScrapMatters Design Star in hopes that I might have a shot at getting on as a designer at my fave digiscrap store. The competition is fierce! I am amazed at how many great and talented designers are participating. The good news is... I made it through round 1 and I am on to round 2 this week! I am stoked! I feel like I just made it to the next round of Hollywood week on Idol. If I get cut next round I will probably go home bawling like Idol contestants too. Hehe Head on over to the ScrapMatters gallery and download everyone's mini kits by March 1st. My entry is number 45. I am floating on cloud 9 now!!!

Here is my entry:

Yay! I have a Newsletter now! Click Email Signup link below to be notified of sales, new releases and subscriber only freebies and coupons. Don't worry... I won't overload your inbox. I will only send out a newsletter 2-4 times per month at most. Feel free to "like" my facebook page if you feel so inclined. hehehe

Hot off "The Press"

So 2 days ago the backyard cat we named "Brown," had a small litter of 3 kittens. Old momma cat, after having 4 litters of kittens in what seems like maybe a year or two max, decided she didn't want to have anything to do with the kittens. Sadly, two of the three died and went to kitty heaven. *wipes tear* My sister and sister-in-law buried the tiny babies and started syringe feeding the remaining kitty. My sister has 4 cats and my sister-in-law has 3. Me = 0. Sooooo, since I'm home all day anyway I volunteered to *hopefully* nurse this little kitty back to health. Tiny bugger is only 4 inches and still has the umbilical cord attached. Here's a quick cell pick I just took:

I slept with her/him? last night to keep it warm and have continued syringe feeding about every 2 hours. It loses body heat quickly so, I have the little kitty wrapped in a washcloth and inside a shoebox next to my computer. The fan on my laptop blows warm air, so it's keeping her nice and warm while I work on designing new stuff. :-) Since I'm a new surrogate cat mommy, I'll be heading up to the pet store this afternoon to get the right milk and bottle for feeding and maybe some advice from the pros. Wish me luck and I'll update you on little kitty soon.

In design news, I've revamped a couple oldies but for the most part these are hot off the press... Check 'em out!

Oldies but Goodies

I've been packaging up some customer faves and hot sellers from the good ole days and have even found some time to work on some new material. While I continue my search for the right store to market my goodies, here is the lineup of oldies but goodies... Check back when I find a digi-home for links. Later taterz!

Hello.

Life seems to change as quickly as the seasons... Time heals all wounds. People grow and change. Things that used to make sense soon become fuzzy and unclear, while others become crisp and focused. This is one of those "ah-ha!" moments; In a whirlwind of uncertainty of "what if"s and "what do I do"s, a spark of creativity and a unwavering determination swept my ideas into a current of wind, flowing as gracefully as a feather in the breeze and landed delicately onto the digital page you see now. Digital Paper Press is born.

Welcome to Digital Paper Press. My name is Casey Canton, but many of you may remember me designing as Casey Krause (my married name). I have 2 little girls age 2 and 4. I love music, poetry and all things crafty. I am a puzzle that even I have yet to solve. I am impulsive, sarcastic and a tad bit obsessive. I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy it. This is me.

My designs are pretty eclectic. The style depends on my current mood and sometimes the weather. I am in love with designing digital scrapbook papers, hence the name Digital Paper Press. But don't fret, I plan on designing other digiscrap elements and knick-knacks too! I will update my blog when I get some new things designed, create a layout that I'd like to share or if I just feel like sharing my whole life story. It happens. That's why I have labels so you can read the things you want and skip all the rest.

Subscribe to my blog and check back soon. I'll try and keep it interesting.
